About Us

Greetings from all of us at Radke Land & Cattle!

Established 2010

We are Tyler and Amanda Radke, and together with our four children, Scarlett, Thorne, Alexander, and Croix, we raise Angus, Limousin, and LimFlex cattle on the ranch north of Mitchell, SD. Our first-generation cattle business was established in 2010, and it's been built from the ground up.

Rooted in faith and grounded in family, our beef cattle business is focused on the entire pasture-to-plate experience. We are dialed in on raising cattle that are practical and functional in a stylish package with elite genetic predictions to match.

We consider what the consumer wants -- tender, highly-marbled, flavorful beef -- and we work our way backwards.

Heavy selection pressure is placed on producing females that are maternal, docile, easy-fleshing, with good milking ability, and consistent fertility. We believe a solid female can then do the job of producing heavy-muscled, powerful, rugged bulls and feeder cattle to go to work out on the range or in the feedlot.

With a two-breed focus, we truly get to enjoy the best of both worlds and love serving our customers in the Angus and Limousin breeds, helping them meet and exceed their own goals in the beef cattle business.

Although we both have deep roots in the seedstock cattle business that dates back 50+ years, we got our start in this business together when we met on the SDSU Meats Judging Team. A shared love of high-quality ribeyes can really bring two people together!

Tyler Radke worked for JBS in Minnesota after graduating from SDSU in 2009, before moving to Mitchell and marrying Amanda in 2010. Today, he works in agricultural real estate, managing and selling land with Farmers National Company.

For as much as we love cattle, being stewards of the land is a shared passion, and we enjoy keeping cattle on the land and preserving the South Dakota prairie grasslands where we get to call "home."

Amanda Radke is a nationally-recognized agricultural speaker, children's book author, western retailer, columnist, host of the podcast, "Heart of Rural America," and a consultant with an Angus specialization for CK6 Consulting. She also serves as an appointee on the National Agricultural Campaign Council, where she provides guidance to the U.S. House of Representatives Ag Committee.

Our children are very active on the ranch, as well. We believe in teaching the value of hard work, integrity, setting goals, responsibility, and never giving up. And there's not much better setting to teach exactly that than at home on the ranch!

As a family, we are active members of Holy Family Catholic Church, where Amanda volunteers on the Classical Catholic Curriculum Committee. Tyler and Amanda are foster and adoptive parents, as well, and we love opening our hearts, home, and the ranch to vulnerable youth in the community.

In cattle dealings and in life, we believe your word is your bond, and your handshake is worth its weight in gold. We value your interest in our breeding program, but more than that, we value the friendships we have gained through this cattle community that we all love.

Thank you for your support, and God bless!
